What is different or special about the crew overboard pole for the Olson 30? I have seen quite a few references to MOP’s than don’t fit into the stern tube. Either pole too long or float too big. Who made the MOP that came with the boat and does anyone have experience fitting a new pole that fits into the stern tube?

I created one using an old VHF antenna with lead shot and epoxy at base with a Pool noodle as buoyancy. Copied the size from another Olson’s poll. Works great! I did test it.

They make a MOB pole for stern tubes. I have one..it fits. I think it is a Jim Buoy. Search with stern tube.
