PNW Olson 30 Class Association

PNW Fleet Seattle, Tacoma and BC (updated Sept 2006)

There have been alot of changes in the fleet in the last few years: a few boats were sold to out-of-state owners (Enigma, Apacalypso), some changed hands locally (Aliens, Wild Turkey, Orcrist), and some are on hiatus from racing (Crime Scene, Bad Dog, Temptress). I will try to capture some of them below. Alex

The photo shows the boat Whidbey Island race Week in 2002. In 2005 John Rahn sold his boat to Russel E. and went to racing 505s on the Sound.

Olson 30 hull #31 (US Sailing # 31715, aka "Ozone #1") Owned and driven by Chuck Queen, this boat won the National Championships, CYC Boat of the Year.

Crime Scene Sold recently to a new owner in the San Juan Islands.
Enigma

Sold to a new owner (California?). Stuart Burnell went to sailing J105s.

Lunch Box

The boat is Olson 30 number 30. It's original name was "Thirty-Thirty". Brought up to the PNW by Dennis Clark in 1990 and renamed "Lunchbox". Been through a few owners since, but the name Lunchbox has stuck. Current owner is Mark Logan, who with a steady crew of Travis Muld, Wendy Robards, Dave Farber, Dave Banks, Marlon Crosier, and tactician Dan Falk, have campaiged  the boat to some success over the last few years. AKA "The green boat". Mark Logan.
