Olson 30 National Championship Regatta
June 3-6th, 2004

The Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle (CYC) and the Olson 30 Class Association invite all Olson 30’s to participate in this annual championship regatta. This regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing 2001-2004, the Rules of the Olson30 Class Association, and the 2004 Olson 30 National Championship Sailing Instructions.
The sailing instructions will require boats to stay in the water for the duration of the regatta. Racing will be around temporary inflatable buoys and fixed buoys in the area around and adjacent to Shilshole bay.
Triangle-windward-leeward and windward-leeward courses will be used. Conditions permitting, one long course may be raced.
A practice race is scheduled for Wednesday evening as part of the local Wednesday night series. The Low Point Scoring will be used, with no scores excluded from a boat’s series score. A minimum of five races shall constitute a regatta. A skipper’s meeting is scheduled at the SCYC clubhouse for Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 10:00am.
Trophies for first through fifth place will be awarded at a presentation following racing at the CYC June 6th. The entry fee, payable to the Olson 30 Class Association, is $235 (two dinner tickets are included in the entry fee). The entry fee for US SAILING members who supply membership number with their entry form is $220.
Boats may register and enter by completing the 2004 Olson 30 National Championship Entry Form between 0900 and 1000 Thursday, June 3, 2004 at the CYC clubhouse. Boats are encouraged to pre-register by completing the 2004 Olson 30 National Championship Entry Form and mailing it, prior to May 15, 2004 with entry fee. Boats registering after May 15 will be charged a $50 late fee.
Boat and sail measurement will be held On Monday 31st May Tuesday 1st June and Wednesday 2nd 3pm to 5pm. Crew weigh in will be Wednesday 3-5pm and Thursday 9 - 10am
No boats will be allowed to be hoisted out after Thursday morning. All boats will have to stay in the water for the duration of the regatta.
Dinner will be served on Friday evening after racing at the CYC club house.
Owners meeting will be on Saturday morning 9am. Agenda is to vote new class officers in and to vote on amendments to the constitution.
