NEW SEASON RACING FORMAT FOR 2008 – 2009
Welcome to all Olson 30 Racers! Realizing that many competitors are traveling from exotic locations – and as far away as Lake Tahoe, Monterey, and Southern California, we’ve put together a schedule to encourage your participation - while also recognizing that some of the best conditions and times to race on San Francisco Bay can be during the midwinter.
With that in mind our new season format and Championship Series has been changed with the hope of increasing your participation and involving an even greater number of boats this year. Last year’s Berkeley Mid-winters had 12 boats registered, a fantastic turnout! This year we’re hoping we can do better. Richmond Yacht Club puts on two great regattas each year, The Great Pumpkin and The Big Daddy Regatta’s, and they add a bigger fun factor to the whole program. We think that these races will allow everyone to enjoy a greater level of participation.
Brickyard Cove Marina has limited short term dry storage space available and we encourage you to call and reserve a spot quickly. We are also working on finding other suitable locations. Call or e-mail if you have a problem and we will do what we can to help.
