Just finished up this job, used 1-1/2″ aluminum pipe, Sched 10 is thin wall, about 2″ diameter, weighs 5 or 6 lbs. Used 3/16″ aluminum scrap for mast plate, recycled lifelines for jockstraps attached to eyebolts in chainplate and a 1/4″ Vectran for a tie-line to prevent beam bending.

239-910-3913 cellSo i took your idea and ran with it, My beam was a straight allum schedule 40 pipe between chain plates, so it was like the cross hairs of a gun scope in the boat with mast. Wow your idea really opened up the cabin. Printed off your post handed it to a fabricator and 52.50 later it was done but i went with schedule 40 again . Angles were perfect Thx John
