As of right now, I have a relatively “official” proposal from Royal Hamilton Yacht Club on Lake Ontario, then somewhat less official expressions of interest from Oswego, Raritan, Screwpile and now Rush Creek (Feb 10 dudes….). If everyone involved with these groups could please put together approximate logistic and entry costs I will put together the lot and present it in one document.
Last year, for the vote, I arranged for a single-ballot run-off system. Personally, I think it worked out pretty well all around. Should we stick with this, or have a preliminary vote for which region will host, then a final vote on the regatta?
I highly recommend at least a three year plan. By this time of year Spar Wars has filled it’s 2012 schedule.
Distance is not an issue to us…I bought my boat from Lake Grapevine..it just might like a return visit!
Time is everything: plan out the future.

18186Date I have for Hamilton is June 21-24. I suggested that they try to find a later date.
Guys, I was trying to see if anyone is interested, I can do a formal proposal in about two hours…do you guys like the last weekend in September? Weather is GREAT, and wind is usually constant. I would be happy to plan for 2013 as well…Make it a big old TX party!

The Raritan Yacht Club Fall Series would have an entry fee of about $120.00, no charge for launch, mooring, mast stepping, trailer storage. Party is included, but food would be additional (reasonable cost).
