Forestay connection to masthead

Does your boat have a toggle at the forestay connection to the masthead? The attached picture shows the marine eye pinned directly to the masthead, without a toggle. I believe this is incorrect and would like to see the configuration on other boats.

That is the same configuration I have seen and I believe your photo shows how the boats were built originally.
