I bought #67 in July and am trying to figure out the adjustments for speed. I think my rake is OK but I wonder about how much forestay tension I want. Ideally I think I want to go upwind in light choppy conditions with my backstay released and increase tension as needed for conditions. Do the successful boats instead set up forestay sag for reaching? Is there any at-the-dock standard forestay tension measurement method?

It’s closely tied to the cut of the headsail you’re using so it’s difficult to standardize, as well it will depend on how your backstay is set up, how much purchase you have so how much mast bend you’re able to produce.
