Somewhat related question re the lifting eye deck hole which is a bit of a mess on my boat.
1. What were the original dimensions i.e. diameter of the deck hole or deck plate?
2. Has anyone ever glassed this hole closed?

Those are indeed pads; what I’m dealing with are two pads/bunks – one on each side – that run most of the length of the hull.
Trying to avoid overspecification but “bunk height” is a catchall for the combination of height and span between bunks, which varies from fore to aft.
Is there an optimal configuration for where the bunks should support the hull?
Are there any standard or recommended specifications?
